General Geometry Notes:
The general architecture is more than half-way decent, but there is a distinct lack of sufficient detail to make this category a problem spot.
Geometry Detail Notes:
...but there is a distinct lack of sufficient detail to make this category a problem spot. Also some of the geometry (i.e. the tower crenellations) makes traversing the level difficult. A few more details here and there could make this a good level.
The texture choice may be appropriate, but it is also horribly dull. The lack of a skybox and the fact that the outside walls are... well, let's face it, WALLS, which looks a bit silly (a castle completely surrounded by a second stone wall that has no means of exit doesn't really have much defensive value).
The light sources are adequate... sort of. The actual decoration flames in them don't have their visible radii set properly, and it is somewhat freaky to see street lights placed fifty feet up on a wall, but otherwise the light levels are sufficient to waste arse by.
Sound / Music
Sound and Music Notes:
There is a disturbing lack of this, except as point sounds for movers. At least there could be some crickets chirping, or something!
It's OK, but the Balefire is somewhat too easy to get to. Also, the walls between the towers would be a great place to put angreal, and there aren't any there. Lastly, the Find Traps angreal hasn't been removed from the spawnpools.
Playability - Scripting
Play Scripting Notes:
The only scripting problem is with the movers. The elevators are too fast, and the gates are nicely done so long as you don't notice that they pass through a solid wall.
Playability - Theme
Play Theme Notes:
The theme is good, but could be better pulled off.
Playability - Style
Play Style Notes:
The level fits with the conventional styles, but doesn't really introduce anything new.
Playability - Fun
Fun Play Notes:
It could be fun for a little while, but don't write off your usual levels yet.
